The Task
In
implementing its mandate, the SPPL has adopted a totally
professional result - oriented, innovative approach to project
planning and management, use of state-of-art building technologies
adherence to international standards of quality control and
financial discipline. To achieve this SPPL has engaged renowned
Architects, Developers, Project Implementing agencies and
Contractors of repute.
SPPL has, as its objective provided "free"
tenements to rehabilitate slum dwellers, who have been residing in
slums prior to 1st January 1995. Under this scheme, a slum resident
gives up his existing dwelling in favour of SPPL as a Developer. In
exchange, at no additional cost, SPPL provides a decent tenement of
225 sq.ft. carpet area in a well planned building, with facilities
like lift, electricity, water, modern sanitation, etc. in a clean
and healthy environment. SPPL also builds adequate housing for
people belonging to low and middle-income
group.
